For anglers, you’ll find fish such as mackerel, sea bass, bream and sole along the water’s edge, on the beach or in the port of Erquy.

For those lucky enough to own a boat, it’s possible to embark at the slipway on Saint-Pabu beach or at Erquy harbor.
Fishing on foot refers to collecting shellfish or crustaceans on the foreshore (beach or rocks), either by hand or using tools such as landing nets, hooks or rakes, and sometimes even a few fish. During high tides, vast stretches of sand and pebbles are uncovered, offering an ideal terrain for anglers on foot, equipped with shovels, buckets, spades and landing nets.
It is essential to respect minimum catch sizes, disturb the environment as little as possible, return returned stones to their original position and collect only what you need for personal consumption.
