Cap Fréhel: cliffs, moors and a natural sanctuary

An exceptional site, Cap Fréhel is a paradise for birds, a sanctuary for plants, a monument to nature…

From the top of its 70-metre-high red sandstone cliffs, it dominates a sea that is sometimes blue, sometimes emerald.

The rocks are home to countless species of birds: herring gulls, shearwaters, petrels, guillemots and many more. More than 700 couples nest here every year.

The Cap Fréhel moors can be explored on foot and offer immense hiking terrain. The site is about 15 km from the campsite and is also accessible by bike.

Take the time to observe the plants and flowers, each more beautiful than the last. Between gorse and heather, the walk leads to the illustrious Fort La Latte, adding a touch of history to this exceptional natural setting.
